For February 2009
Olive: “The Eyre Affair” by Jasper Fforde and “One Church, Many Tribes by Richard Twiss”
Fran: You’ll have to ask him – he’s reading several simultaneously and I can’t keep track.
This is due for an update:
Olive: still reading lots of good stuff for work and still making my way through TIME magazine’s All-Time 100 novels. Latest book read: “The Death of the Heart” by Elizabeth Bowen.
Latest book I re-read: “Letters by a Modern Mystic” by Fran Laubach. If you’re curious about this book read about it here and here. I highly recommend it (so does Dallas Willard)!
Fran: more school texts and “Man’s Search for Meaning” by Viktor E. Frankl.
___________________________________________________________
For August/September:
Still working through Consuming Jesus together.
Olive: My Antonia by Willa Cather and The Chosen by Chaim Potok
Fran: Just started school so he has a ton of texts to read!
For June:
We have started reading Consuming Jesus by Paul Louis Metzger.
Fran is reading Dismissing God by Bruce Lockerbie.
Olive is reading (somewhat leisurely) A Dance to the Music of Time (1st movement) by Anthony Powell. For work, she is plowing through A Christian Paideia by Bruce Lockerbie and Shepherding a Child’s Heart by Ted Tripp. Though it’s for work, she’s enjoying them!
